Chris and Alex - basically, these are the rules for the Cactus and bringing in lipo and BL to all classes. Its new and its going to be different. I am sorry you don't have saddle packs in lipo right now but they are being produced as I'm told (I have this ROAR job.. LOL)

Sean has put a lot of research into the event and what we are trying to do for the future of racing. We are trying to ensure product availability is NOW for our racers for this event......

We are trying to follow as much of ROAR rules as we can and where ROAR is going with the Lipo rules.... and hard cases will be in the rules.. with charging sacks.

Check with MaxAmps... Austin told me yesterday they have 'skins' available in a few days which are removable, clear hard cases. I haven't seen them but I assume they will meet the needs.

As long as there is a way to run existing packs then OK.

Default MaxAmps to release Hard Cased Lipo Saddle Pack

This week MaxAmps will be releasing hard cased lipo saddle packs in both 4000 and 6000mah. These packs will be a drop in replacemnt for 6 cell NiMH saddle packs. You will have the option of getting the hard case either shrunk into the pack or as a detachable clear plastic "skin".

The saddle packs are available now and we will be adding the hard case option within the next week:

The "hard case" option will be added this week. I was linking to the packs now so you know where to find them. We will have the hard case as an option at that same link this week. Hope that makes sense

Steve, I didn't know they let you attend this race still...I guess we will see each other again soon, lol. And for all those that don't understand, I am totally messing around. Can't wait to race. Although won't be defending my stock truck title this year...oh well, haha.
