1st and 3rd were running brushed and nimh. We knew it was a risk but believed we could do it and proved that fact. We were at the limits of the batteries though with a brushed motor. The motors look great but just don't have the efficiency for these super long mains. We proved it could be done and finished the race though. It was lots of fun!

Yea I fell off the Chrome wheeled wagon, the last time I ran Chromed wheels was the Cactus two years ago, which was the last time I raced it.

I raced my first Cactus in 03 with Chromed wheels, and every one since then, so I figure it's tradition now.

Thanks for all the nice comments. We enjoyed the event as usual and are glad that everyone is satisfied with yet another successful Cactus Classic.

Thanks to every racer that came out. We are glad that we can give a race such as this one to the people that enjoy electric racing.

We have the States race in October and everyone is welcome to attend that race as well. It is a great tune up race for the Cactus Classic.

I had a blast. It is always fun to see old friends and make new ones too.

I landed funny over the roller right before the doubles and broke a front a-arm. It hit square on the left front and snapped it.

The car was good though, its a bummer because I started the race with brand new tires and they were just scrubbing in when I broke. Had a blast regardless though.
