Default show me the way

hi all

I currently own an 415msx mre and have most of the running gear to start out offroading.
Im looking for an offroad car and a servo.
I would prefer a car kit of good quality.I intend to use it for racing at some point.
Now here goes the silly questions.
What are the differences in the Two wheel and Four wheel drive classes?
I.e- motors, handling, strength, and of course the fun factor.
In the four wheeled drive class is shaft drive on its way out due to the smoother balanced power delivery of belt drive like in touring cars??.(no torque steer.)
which kits are lipo friendly?

I have seen many articles regarding associated offroad cars and they seem to be ultra competitive.i had the unfortunate pleasure of owning a TC4.
The build quality was very nasty and the TC4 has put me off buying from that company again. Please tell me their offroad kits are of much higher quality??

what would you recommend and why?
thanks

Well, if you plan on racing then I would take a look at your local track & see what classes are popular. Its just a lot more fun to run in a full class then a near empty class. Now, I would advise that you pick up a 2wd buggy as your first off roader. It will teach you how to become a better driver. As far as buggies are concerned I would pick up what ever buggy is well suported locally. The kyosho, associated, losi, & academy buggies are all great buggies. Out of these I believe that academy is the best because you get the entire full blown race ready car for the cheapest amount.
