GTB or LRP TC-Spec, Orion 7.5T Vortex.

Try the Orion Vortex or the Tekin Redline with the Tekin R1 speedo. Good luck!

Go the mamba max system great for bashing.ESC computer setup to how you would like your power input great warranty. the 4600 system will handle 14.8 lipos insane power.

any brushless with a 7.5 and sintered rotor, 6.5 max. id suggest a Novak GTB/Velociti Racing Brushless System 7.5 or 6.5 for $250 for the racer. but if your newer to racing, id suggest a 13.5 ss pro setup (used in stock at many tracks also)

if your mostly a basher, Novak XBR Sport/EX 8.5 Brushless System for $170 from tower is a great option.

personally i use the novak gtb and 13.5 ss with sintered rotor you can get a kit for around 230 and you will have far less problems with it than brushed almost have to do no maintenance just basics lube the front bearing

the 3.5s are to sick for these i have seen lots of cars come into the shop with many many broken parts running the 3.5 its a sick bl motor but is even a lil to much for myself and i have been running a long time there arent many gassers that can keep up with a 3.5 and that says alot about that motor

if you are going to race any roar ruled events at anytime as of now you have to run sensored and if it is a stock class then the 13.5 is what you want to get

you can get a 3.5 4.5 whatever but if you do buy parts and lots of them aka diffs control arms shock towers ahahah the list goes on but you get the drift

if you arent racing then the mamba max system with like a 10.5 would be awesome great reliable system as well cant beat it

if you are going to go brushed there are a whole ton of speed controlls and motors out there i have gotten totally away from brushed so i dont know what all is out there new i liked the teken sc's and integy/ orion motors

hope that helped a lil you are going to pay about 150 for a basic setup why not pay another 100 for an awesome setup well worth it

Brushless is the affordable way to go. The cheapest systems out there are the Mamba Max and Novak XBR.

If you go brushed you have to buy all the maintenence equipment to go with it.

I like to do maintenence on my motor it is something to do for me.

Think guys i am just going to go with the.
DuraTrax Streak Forward/Brake Hi-Frequency ESC J

Do your best to get a mamba system. Since you will be bashing mostly you can't beat the mamba systems. Plus they are slightly cheaper than the other systems. When you go to the track you can take your lap top and turn it down a lot. Trust me, you will have to turn it down a lot. Brushless is the way to go. You can just run and run and run. No worries about comms overheating, or brushes hanging up, and no brush replacement ever hour or two of runtime.

Some at the track have them and they are too much power in stock form. They keep de-tuning every weekend so the trucks can handle the power. Otherwise it's just instant wheelies. Which would be perfect for bashing. LOL. Plus they manufacture them in KC, so if something were to go wrong it would be at their shop in two-three days and they would overnight it back to you, if you asked for that.
