Default Owners Feedback on NovakAC/DC ionic and Quasar non pro

I would like to hear from owners of the Novak ionic AC/DC and the reedy quasar non pro version. I知 looking for a second charger that is AC/DC and does not have a discharge function. I already have that taken care of discharge aspect so I wont be needing it in a charger. It痴 a toss up between the above two, so I only want to hear from owners of those chargers. Please no suggestions on the Intellipeaks, superbrains,or piranhas, I知 not interested. I had experience with the intellipeaks and I知 not going down that road again.

Pros and cons of the Quasar non pro and the Ionic AC/DC

Everybody痴 input is appreciated

Thanks

Based on my personal experience I definitely wouldn't recommend the Ionic. I have owned many Novak products and it was the only one that ever gave me any problems. Novak knows about the problem that I had(pretty common apparently), but was more worried about shutting me up than actually helping me when I tried to get help on a couple forums. I sent it in a couple times to have it repaired but it never worked right and I eventually sold it cheap.

I've had my Novak Ionic for about 6 months now and love it. I'm new to the hobby and don't have experience with any other charger, but the Ionic has worked perfectly for my needs.

I have a home track and use the charger almost daily---never had a problem.

Features I like include a warning (lights) if you inadvertently make the wrong connection (i.e., pos. on neg.) and it won't charge; and when it's done charging, the lights flash telling you it's done.

Hope that helps.
