Default Question on gearing a Mamba 57K/ FT T4

Can anyone give me a gearing set-up for the pinion/spur that yeilds cooler temps with this Mamba 57k set-up in a T4, or at least a good place to start at. Suggestions on a Pinion set maybe, I was looking at the Robinson Racing gear pack from tower...any help would be grreatly appreciated. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXEX34&P=ML

I started with an 18T pinion and worked my way down from there. Sweat spot on my track was 16tooth if I recall correctly.

Its always a good idea to have a large pinion variety so you can properly gear your vehicle. I don't change spurs much, but I do know guys who are that specific about gearing even in offroad.

I think mine is 18 or 19t with the stock spur gear. Nothing wrong with the Robinson gears. I like Losi pinions... they are nice and under $3 I think.
