Default XXCR

This is how my XXCR is set up from Pegasus the last time I ran it there.

Front Suspension

Spindle Carrier 25
Arms level
Front camber a 1 degree negative
Shock oil 30
Piston 57
Springs Blue
Not sure on the spacer (Possibly A)
Steering crank outside
Top shock tower hole 2 (2nd from the inside)
Inside Camber hole on shock tower hole 2 (2nd from the inside)
Outside arm hole
Outside Camber inside hole

Rear Suspension

Pivot at 0 degree's
Dog bones Or CVDs level
Rear camber -2
Shock oil 35
Piston 56
Springs Pink
Not sure on spacer but its possibly too large
Top shock tower hole 2 (2nd from the inside)
Inside camber hole 7 2nd from the outside middle row
Inside arm hole
Only have two holes on the hub inside or very top.

On the old track layout I was running an 84 spur and 21 pinion all old stuff (1700 pack and trinity stock) I should have gone up one tooth on the pinion but ran out of time.

When the track was dry it worked really good but when it was watered it started pushing a little but still turned good. I like my cars a little loose.

The tranny ratio is 2:19:1

Hope that helps you and your buddy out. I will probly see you at the track soon for some racing.

Since the LHS doesn't have much available for these anymore, where are some other places that might have stock left. I might be using some suspension parts for a nitro oval sprint car, and I would like to know if I can buy parts before I build the car this way. If there isn't much out there then...oh well.

Thanx

When I had a XX-CR last spring, gave it to a kid as a start in RC, I put some Duratrax BX front arms on it. A LHS gave me all the XX-CR parts they had at half price just to clear the space for 'new-er' parts.

Thinking I had to open up the bulkhead mount on the arms, about .030 for them to fit.

Isn't there a place called "Losi Parts House" OR something like that for 'mature' parts!!!

A AE B4 double slipper spur setup will fit, worked great on the XX-CR I had.

When I got the buggy the Hydra Drive had already been replaced.

Default Parts

Losi Parts House is a great supplier.

You can search by type of buggy or truck or by part. They have many XX series parts. Some Duratrax parts will work on XX but not all. Compare closely before buying.

Well, this is my first attempt at a nitro sprint 1/10 and I'm using a later model for the suspension so I don't know what to expect. I know the learning curve will be steep, and I'm sure I will enjoy it. With that being said, if the number of parts dries out, I guess I'll build a better one from what I learned on this one. LOL.

I don't think I will end up with too many XX parts on this sprint car though. Maybe steering rack, CV's, rear hubs, front hubs, spindles and axles, and maybe some links or hinge pins. I shouldn't be too worried overall. Thanx guys for the info.
