I've not run the Momba & I'm not paided by or sponsored by any brand name.

I have run the spectrum GTB & 5.5 Novak for a few months. It is now in my
B44. I'm using Lipo(MaxAmp4400) & A123's (2S2P) with a 18 tooth. No fan, No thermals, No worries about what connectors I used or how long I cut my wires, no special programming. No problems.

hey cool... how would you compare the 4400 and A123??

I have a 4400 pack and I just bought a Dewalt pack to play with. I got it for experimenting in 1/8 buggies but I would like to try it in 1/10 too.

The A123's do not have near the punch or top speed as the 4400's but with the 5.5 they are pleanty fast for the track I race at. My driving is not "top tear" but I have run as many laps as the top 5 guys in the "A" in the same 5 minutes so they are fast enough to win if I drive right. The lower voltage is very easy on the motor & ESC & they are never hot when I come off the track. The best part is you can charge them to 95% in like 15 minutes at 8 to 10 amps.

The Mamba is obviously the "big block" of the group... raw horsepower.
yeh if you like buttons falling off, a/c not working, paint not consistant, squeaks, rattles and wind noise at high speeds haha

Perhaps... but you get a thrill-ride and feel the raw disgusting torque that you just can't get in such refined and proper vehicles as a BMW

Not that I have any of the above mentioned cars. But I have driven some hot cars... and the most sick was my buddies big block 69 Camaro that could lift the front end. My brother in law has a pretty sick 400+hp Mazda RX-7 but it just not the same as a big block.

Are hobbyshop owner has a 1972 Chevy Pickup with a 502 big block with 671 blower on it so does that count for a thrill ride.

Well that... and that it sounds and feels tame by comparison even though it may be just as fast.

I think a blown 502 counts as sick power and a thrill ride.

Heck, I have an old beater 1978 Ford truck with a 460 that doesn't even run right and even that makes you feel good to rev it up and listen to the rumble and backfiring... kids love it.

yea i agree, nothing beats the sound, adrenaln and respect that comes from a tough big block. As fast as jap imports are they havent really got the same toughness, although some of the top tuner GTR`s and Supra`s are tough in there own right, different kind of tough though....

Keeping up with technology and adding something new or new features to there line of esc.

So I have read through this entire thread, and have not heard much on what turn motor everyone is using, regardless of the brand.

I am happy with my 10.5 in my b3 and I am undecided which brushless motor to put into the b44.

I am thinking the 10.5 would be just as fast as it is in the b3 because the higher traction would make up for the added weight of the 4wd.

Though I own a 6.5 and 7.5 they are a little on the fast side for my driving ability especially with the added traction.

Are any of you guys using the 10.5 or something similar with much luck? How is the power to weight ratio.

just work yourself up in power. u can always sell your old brushless motors and still get 80% return on it when your ready to step up.

for most people going from an 8.5 to say a 6.5 wont improve thier lap times

I think the imports are very cool but for me the sound and earth shaking rumble just kicks a$$. You can feel the power go right thru you when you stand near them.
