I have been wondering the same thing. And I have found that they have alot of good brushless kits. The one that I have seen used alot is the mamba. Novak has one as well as lrp. I think these are a bit more exspensive though. But these also have good reviews to. I think what it comes down to is personal prefrence. And what your going to use it for. Check out youtube for the mamba and you can see how fast they are. Hope this helps.

I personally think novak brushless motors are more like an on/off switch as compared to a peak/orion. I run novak for mod and an orion for 10.5. the best part about brushless is you can easily turn down a 5.5 to run in an tight indoor track in a 2wd. never ran the lrp brushless systems.

as for the esc, I have only run the novak, so I cant help you there...

Buy what ever brand your more comfortable with and what your buddies have, or what your local shop carries.

The brands are just like cars. Ford or Chevy, toyota or nissan, Associated or Losi. They are all good but everyone has there own preference.

As for turning it up at the house or down at the track, i dont think that is possible, if it is I havent figured that out yet. Just practice throttle control. Your best bet is to buy 2 different motors. 10.5 for the track and 6.5 for your house.

Just my .02, if you go faster than 6.5 at your skill level, it is to fast and more useless than usefull.

Currently I have a 10.5, 7.5 and 6.5 in an rc10t4. I sold the 5.5 because it was so powerful on the track, I couldnt stop spinning the tires, and on the street my truck would wheelie and flip over. All Novak with the GTB and 4900mah lipo batteries.

Not everyone has the same results, that is just my experiance.

Default castle reation

I agree. I run the castle creation mamba max package and i run the 6900kv at the big tracks the 4600kv for small tracks and the 7700kv at home. Its all about what your LHS stocks and what you like.

A Schulze 40.160 ESC with 12S4000 Li-po cells with over 40 volts and 160 amps of power for any motor like a Hacker C50-10XL. This ESC is the size of your hand and the motor is the size of your fist.

The Trak Power batteries with the gold shrink wrap. Though I have never offically Timed the run times to the minute, the 10.5 gives me almost 40 minutes and get around or just slightly under a half hour with the 7.5. In the T4.

I dont have a 13.5 but I can only assume that it is higher than what I am getting with the 10.5

As for charge times, It takes about 75 minutes from when the lipo cut off engages on my esc to a full charge.
