Quote from the future! (around 2009)

"Remember when we used to race using those 4200 mah nickel batteries and used to cut our comms using those brushed motors in those short 5 minute races"

The future looks bright for Electric Racing to grow and be popular again with li-pos and brushless!

good call, i just ordered two lipo packs to race two classes.....in the longer run its definitely cheaper. $200 (used) for two lipo packs that would take 6 packs of ib4200s at $35 (used good packs) so nimh is $10 more for enough packs for three races per day in two classes....and the lipo last up to 10times the cycles longer....and we all know how finicky the ibs are.

hey everyone. i have just got my first real 2wd race car9team asso b4) and my friend gave me 3 nimh 3800 packs to start off but everywhere i go there are ppl telling me to go lipo can anyone shed some light on the situation. all i know is that maintaining nimh packs getts expensive with the disscharger and equalizer.

Lipo is much cheaper and it generaly makes more sense to get 1 lipo pack, scrap the maintenence and gain performance.

You know you want one Brad Let me know when you want me to order your Orion lipo

Looks like li-po racing is accepted nationwide! ROAR should make the move to full approval of them for 2008, the RC Electric Pro Series already has approved them and big Electric Off-Road Races Nationwide have already approved them!

Now maybe Electric RC Racing can come back strong and be popular again with longer races and lower maintence thanks to Li-po batteries and Brushless motors!
