Wink Label Motorz ????

hey all,

I have a ft b4 buggy and i tend to like running 19t over mod, because in my opinion 19 requires driving over who has the fastest car ! Anyway, since im really into making my car look good, i generally take the colorful lables off my Checkpoint Money Motors. this way when you look all you see is the black can, and in my opinion makes things look neater! I have heard roomer that this is llegal? Does it really matter weither or not i decided to take the pretty label off the can that says team checkpoint inside a us bill?

thanks for the help guys,

tim

I could see it making a difference in a class with a limit set on it. ie... you are running stock or 19t with a can with no label on it. you "could" be cheating.

but in mod? I dont see why it would matter at all.

I'm certainly not an expert on brushed motor rules...but I've never seen anything about a decal. All the specs I've ever seen were about the configuration of the motor...the magnets, type of winds, balancing, etc. Mechanical stuff, not decorations.

It doesn't matter. Plus, some motor tuners use the same label for all their motors - I do at least.

When you go to a race with hand-out motors, they don't have labels.

Legality is determined by the markings on the can and the armature, not the label. 27T and 19T have the winding stamped on the bottom of the can near the output end of the can and the arms must have a white tag on the arm itself saying what wind it is. "EPIC 27" for example.

Modified require no markings on the can...but most arms are marked in some way so you know which mod arm you are putting in the can. Usually stamped on the stack or engraved on the shaft...

Actually, there are times you should remove the label... Like when you buy a motor from one of the tuners that puts their whole 3 inch long label over the vent holes.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
