Default battery problem - help me please

i bought 2 duratrax 4200 7.2v stick packs from tower hobbies along with a duratrax ice charger. I labelled one pack as pack 1 and the other pack 2.

I set up the charger for pack 1, using profile 1 in the charger, i set all the variables, no problem there. I charged the pack to its full capacity plus an extra 10%. I have used that pack and everything is great.

but the other pack seems something is not right, as with the first pack, i set the profile in the charger, i ran the cycle as discharge followed by charge, the discharge was very quick, as was with pack 1, then it went into charge mode after the 2 minute delay i set, but the problem is it cut out charging at about 2400 mah, so i discharged it again and started again and it did the same. Why is this happening ?????????????

Try setting the peak threshold (delta peak) a little higher on pack 2, if its say 3 or 4mil, go to 5 or 6mil and try again, Just monitor it during charging to avoid overcharging. I know on my side by side packs I usually set the peak a little high and use the temp probe set at 124F. I would suspect your pack 2 has been stting a while and will probably come in as its been used a few times.
