Default CRCRC Midwest championship Electric 1/8th Scale Buggy Class

I just want to send a thanks to the CRCRC crew for the Electric race this past weekend.
Thanks so much for helping to make arrangement so the 1/8th scale electric buggies could run.
I really appreciated all you did and the changes you made to help accomodate us and let us put on the exhibition with these vehicle. We all had a lot of fun and I think we put on a great show to demonstrate the speed and handling of them along with the technology that we are using to get this class up and running.
There was a lot of enthusiasm and some negative opiions also.... The Nitro VS Electric this seems to be an issue for some.
Over all I think we had a great debut for these vehicles. I tried to emphasize, it is not about the Nitro vs Electric... It is about the hobby growing and us all having fun.

Thanks to all the 1/8th scale racers who brought out their equipment and raced with us. We had some long distance travelers who made the trip to join us.
Thanks to Tony of Tony's Screws for helping to organize this.
And again to the organizers of the event for having us.
Curt, Keith ( Big Dog), Henry and all the others.
Dan

Race was a lot of fun. It's always great to run slicks for change. A bunch of people were wondering what happened to controlled practice on Friday, but oh well. All we need is a paved pit area and it'll be even more awesome! I think there's still a pound of dust in all my stuff.

Thanks for the great weekend. Only complaints I had was watching some of the turn marshalls who seem to either not care or were just blind. I think paid marshalls would be a good idea even if it ups the entry fee. Other than that, I thought it went pretty smooth.

Thanks to CRCRC for doing another great year of holding this race. The layout was tough, the traction was great, things ran smoothly with the track crew, and Bill Stevenson did another great job at announcing the race all while wearing shorts the whole time.

Thanks to CRCRC. Another awesome event. Bill Stevenson did an outstanding job, as always. A little water in the pits, down the main isle, at night would be nice. Other than that ridiculous, hugeantic, stupid, triple jump. The track was unreal. Very technical, good passing spots. Very fun to drive. Another great track. Looking forward to 09! Best race on the east side of the country.

I can't believe he still has a voice left!
"Watch the triple", that phrase is permanently embedded in my mind.

From the race directors and the entire CRCRC club I would like to thank all the racers that came out to race! I would say YOU ALL put on a heck of a good show, there was some awesome racing going on!

Thanks for the positive comments, it makes all the hard work, long hours and hassles worth it.

I have to apologize for the excessive dust. On the first night we went to water the pits and there was a lot of people's stuff sitting directly on the ground. Our intention was to ask everyone to put their stuff on the tables so we could water, but it slipped my mind with the 100 other things going on.

During the race I would have said NO WAY I'm acting as director again, but I already started writing down things to do, and things not to do for next year!

See you all in 09!
