some one asked on the crcrc forum and Nitrohead answered 4 rounds with qual points.

I don't remember how many rounds of quals we ran last year, but they did go by rocket round last year.

And the qualifiers are 6 minutes. I just reread the first page of this thread. So.... 2 minute breaks, 10 car max, 27 heats

I'm thinking this is going to be at least 15 hours of qualifying.

Me neither! And with running 4 classes, I'll be running just about once an hour!

Bought the T4 FT Friday night built it, raced Saturday. This things ready to role. Carolinas RC should have a good showing with 5 to 10 drivers coming from down here. Look for the Carolinas RC Banner also, we should have tires, b44 top plates, front arms and some other things. I'll be racing Stock truck and Outlaw. I cant wait!!!

We are doing the above with the exception of 12 cars per heat for quals and 10 cars per main. The track is large enough to support it

At a big race - any big race - the directors have to keep a close watch on time, and the delay between races is part of that. Be sure you're ready for each of your races, and of course after your race set your car on the provided table - not back to the pits - and go marshall. All that kind of stuff is covered in the drivers' meeting.

At a cut off of 300 entries - 30 heats - each round should take 210 minutes. Make it 240 minutes to give some leeway, and three rounds of qualifying should be about 12 hours. Qualifying day at Cbus is a long day, there's no two ways about it. Its fun though - even running three classes, with no motors to cut there's plenty of time to wash tires, apply traction compound, and then go chat with your friends!

Oh, and no idea on the heat order. *Shrug* Even if mod truck and outlaw are back to back, there's still likely to be lots of heats between your specific runs. If not just let one of the admin's there know, and they can move you to a different heat - they're really good about fixing problems and taking care of people.

Don't forget that 300 entries will almost never be 30 heats. Cactus for example, has a 300 entry limit, which is 35-37 heats. They allow the extra entires to fill classes (55 in 2wd mod when 300 is reached, they allow 5 more), since that won't take more time, and end up at over 350 entries.

I can't wait!, this will be the biggest race me and my dad have ever been to and we are really looking forward to it.

If I want to switch one of my classes do I take care of that when I get there?

I am wondering about the order as well, I'm gonna be running mod and stock buggy and it would be nice to have some time in between.
