Is there a hotel that has a deal for racers? What is the cut off entry limit?

Which bomb 1? They made at least three different ones. I'm guessing blue?

And the Motel 6 they show nearby is only 30 bucks a night, book online.

Last year, I used Extra Firm (blue) with slicks and Med/Firm (grey) with Pink Taper Pins.

The track is looking more and more like slicks. The weather this week looks warm and rainy, so it's looking good!

It's great to see a class that just a few years ago was almost non-existent at all but very large races have the largest turnout.

4whl owes it's resurgence to all the available options for affordable and durable cars now.

Thanks to AE, Hotbodies, X-Factory,J concepts, and Tamiya for getting 4whl back on the map.

Losi-It would be great to see a new car, I doubt it will ever happen though.

I've never raced a big race like this so I have some questions. Questions for anyone, I just quoted the above because it goes with my questions.

Being that there's a max of ten per heat, and with the above breakdowns it looks like 27 heats per round.... 5 minutes per round with 5 minutes between runs, ...... 4 rounds...

It looks like will be about around 18 hours of qualifying on Saturday?

Another question, what's the order of the classes to be run? I only ask because I'm running Outlaw truck and Mod truck. I'm hoping they're not back to back because I think just about everyone running outlaw is running their same truck in Mod class. Just curious.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

At most there will be 3 minutes between heats, most likely 2 minutes.

If they do 12 to a heat that will put it at 23 heats. (I figured 1 heat for outlaw trck, 13 entries)
The track is plenty big enough for 12 per heat.

Qualifiers are 6 minutes plus 2 minutes between heats x 23=just a bit over 3 hours per round.

1st and 2nd round ran back to back, short break after 2nd round for resort.

That would put it at a 12-13 hour day.

I am not with the track crew so these are just my thoughts and experience.

There will be 10 cars per heat, 5 minute heats, and a strict 2 minutes between heats. At a big race - any big race - the directors have to keep a close watch on time, and the delay between races is part of that. Be sure you're ready for each of your races, and of course after your race set your car on the provided table - not back to the pits - and go marshall. All that kind of stuff is covered in the drivers' meeting.

At a cut off of 300 entries - 30 heats - each round should take 210 minutes. Make it 240 minutes to give some leeway, and three rounds of qualifying should be about 12 hours. Qualifying day at Cbus is a long day, there's no two ways about it. Its fun though - even running three classes, with no motors to cut there's plenty of time to wash tires, apply traction compound, and then go chat with your friends!

Oh, and no idea on the heat order. *Shrug* Even if mod truck and outlaw are back to back, there's still likely to be lots of heats between your specific runs. If not just let one of the admin's there know, and they can move you to a different heat - they're really good about fixing problems and taking care of people.

Paul,
Look at the electric rules per class, it states 6 minute qualifiers and 7 minute mains.

Thank you for the replies and the good answers. 2 minutes between rounds would be great! I guess one of the reasons that makes that possible is that everyone will have personal transponders. That ALWAYS slows things down at our track.
