This is probably just a repackaged and reprogrammed plane ESC from some other Horizon brand. Or a reverse engineered Novak.

Not sure about the ESC sourcing, but I'm pretty sure that neither Novak or Castle actually make motors, they source them too. Just like Trinity, Reedy, and everybody with brushed. They are EPICs, Yokomo, or the one I can't remember right now.

At least I think so, flame as required

Novak most certainly does make their own motors in-house, right here in SoCal...I'm sure there are a couple parts they sub out (plating, PCBs, etc), but they're definitely all Novak. They've discussed them on here numerous times.

Correction noted, that is surprising though, having some idea of what is required.

Either way, more sources is a good thing in my opinion, better availablity and pricing than only one or two guys with them.

I'm not there myself, waiting to see how the rules shake out...

Everyone should be required to read Atlas Shrugged. In short when the producers are gone the consumers have no one to feed off. In this case when the leaders are gone there will be no one to copy.

Reverse engineering? How about Xerox down the shape, fan and cap package.... Disgusting
