Novak GTB with a 7.5 motor!

If you are using 2.4ghz radio, get the GTB spread spektrum ESC.

I've used the LRP Sphere with the Vector 7.5 motor. This combination gives about the same "feel" as you would get with a 12 turn brushed motor but with allthe benefits of brushless. I usually upgrade to a sintered rotor because I like the drag brake effect the sintered magnet creates. But some of the European drivers like Neil Cragg prefer the bonded rotor.

It all comes down to personal preference. But you can't go wrong with either of the the "Big 2". I just think that LRP is a little better at this time. They have been doing extensive testing and have created an excellent product.

Let me add the new Novak Light series motors will out by the end of the month that are not only lighter by weight, but are softer on the bottom of the power band to stay hooked up on tight slick tracks.

The best gets better and it might be worth the wait!

Good luck with what ever system you choose.

LRP Sphere Comp and Orion 7.5 Vortex Brushless (they already come with the sintered rotor, so you don't have to upgrade!).

7.5 x 7 + 1....

Pretty much your looking at a 7.5 in any 2wd, sintered of course.

Orion, LRP, or Novak.

I personally run Novak motors with my GTB (I dislike LRP customer support) I have loved my Orion batteries in the past (3700s) I wouldn't mind trying Orion motors....but my Novak motors run like a dream. 7.5 sintered in buggy @ 81/22. 6.5 sintered in truck @ 87/18.

and flexible solder tab system > hole/wire tab system
