Default Radio question

Can you use a traxxas 3 channel tx and rx from a t-maxx on a rc10t2 that is electric? I put this in and have steering but nothing to the motor. Does it matter which way the motor leads are hooked up to the esc? I'm a novice to electric so don't hit me to hard.

I believe if you reverse the motor leads on the motor then the motor will spin the opposite direction. As far as your problem goes, are you sure you plugged it up into the right channel? You should be able to use that radio setup. I dont see why it wouldnt work.
