Default The Apogee 3800 LIMN Thread!

I just got my hands on some of these, finalizing my transition from conventional technologies to the most advanced, brushless and lipo. i felt compelled to comment on, and promote these packs. they are a great value (about $25 less than the orions ). also, the performance upgrades from nimh to limn(very similar to lipo) are substantial.

So, here's the "apogee limn thread"!!!

first question: Who has apogee packs? and what are you running with them?

I'm running a XXX-CR with 13.5 BL. with the limn, it feels better than a 4200, and stays that way for a good 10 minutes. performance drops minimally then, but is still better than a 4200. but like all lipo's, performance drops dead cold as it aproaches 6v. i dont really have to use the lvc, since its very evident when the pack's done. i'm very satisfied!

Im very satisfied with the performance. Have a couple of 3S Limn packs and decided to go that way since it seems the safe alternative to lipo.
Also because you can charge them at 2C so its just 30 minute charges and done!

Running them on an xxxt with a mamba max 4600, had them before on a 5700 and for offroad it was nuts... tried them before on a 4wd lazer buggy and the 5700 and it was a friggin missile, fantastic!
I love them

Anyone have a link to their site? Do these have to be used with a BL or can they be used on brushed motors? Sorry, yes I've been out of rc for a few years.

heard good things about there packs as well, curious how safe these are compared to A123 packs.

I wouldn't mind giving them a go in my 1/8 scale buggy, but would want a 14.8V version, and can imagine the price for that.

One thing to keep in mind, if you use any MRC Chargers, they will not warranty your packs.
