Default Doing some reading for myself vs. Being lazy

I was thinking about getting a new kit and I was wondering about the pros and cons of either:

a) reading about the cars on the threads that are actually ABOUT those cars and forming an opinion based on the experiences of the people who actually own them...or...

b) Just opening another "vs." thread that would have everyone tell me how great all their respective cars are. Then, I could maybe save some time...and maybe start a pissing match or two.

Please discuss.

3rd option would be to go to the local track. See what everybody is running. Watch how the different cars are responding, and maybe even take a few for some laps. Evaluate everything then BUY AN ASSOCIATED B4!

At our local track for off-road it is very easy to decide. No need to read articles or read info on the net, because we have Jared Tebo and Taylor James, so we run what they run end of discussion.lol

No really these 2 guys are a lot of help. The local track is about 96% Jammin for gas buggy and truggy and 98% GT2 for gas truck and about 99% AE for electric.

Later,

It is pretty cool, but apparently not many on here possess the skills necessary to use it properly. Seen a lot of them crash and burn...it takes a light touch to really make it fly.

Ive been told its kind of like a Losi 8ight in that only some people can get it to work for them. But the pros will tell you its all about the set-up on the car.

Mine always seems to be broken. When I try to break it out it won't fly.

Apparently you've had at least some success with it as of late. It just takes practice.

Nice thread.

My personal pet peeve are the threads with non-descriptive titles. 99% of the time, they're not worth viewing, but curiosity usually overrides my better judgment.
