Default Heatsink on LRP Sphere Competition

Is absolutely necessary to use the heatsink on my Sphere Comp? I'm running a 7.5 on my BK2.

the literature that came with it says its a good idea... absolutely necessary? hmmm

not much airflow through a buggy, is there? 7.5 motor?

probably a good idea to use it. but I know why you dont want to.

I'm using a XXX CR body on my BK2 and the heat sink hits the body.

You wont need it. I installed the one on my b4 but just because it fits. I ran my car without it and at most the speed control was mildly hot after 18 min of solid running indoors.

4wd yes, 2wd no........ much less load on the motor/esc therefore much less heat (and also the lower wind of motor).

so no mate, you dont need to run the heatsink in 2wd. Definitely in 4wd though, and a fan...

I agree with the 'no' response here. Especially with the mild motor.

I run a Sphere Comp with a 6.5 motor without the heatsink in my B4 without problems.
