News to me, and kinda sad actually. I always felt true innovation was the product of competition amongst a multitude of minds. Once a large company begins to absorb those minds the competitive nature begins to fade, radical ideas end up locked in a closet, and the absorbing companies ideas and ideals replace what were once free thinkers.

Hopefully these companies are allowed some operating independence. I like Kyosho But that doesn't mean I want them owning/operating everything I buy.
It slows down innovation.

i would agree that larger companies buying up small ones can at times be bad, but it wasnt like orion was a small company, they have quite a product lineup. but hopefully orion, being one of the only major rc companies pushing the lipo, will get more support through kyosho. i will probably regret saying that when this turns into another debate thread, so lets try to keep it clean.

Coming back to the hobby it seems kyosho is more mainstream then it was when it was with towerhobbies and seems to want to become a frontrunner in america. I love my kyosho.

So what happened to Peak racing? Are they still around? I know Orion owned them.
