im thinking about picking up some new turnbuckles for my xxxcr, and i know that the super duty are larger but does that mean they use a different size ball cup, or are the turnbuckles longer? basically what it comes down to is, will i be able to use the heavy duty losi ball cups with those, or should i opt for the standards?

You can run the the HD tierods. I run them longer then what the kit provides. That way you thread them in farthur to help reduce breakage or bending. I would recommend just running the stardard cups on them.

I tried using the SD camber links with the white heavy duty ball cups and they were VERY hard to turn. Kept popping off the ball studs every time I tried to adjust the camber. I went back to the punisher turnbuckles. Some grease on the threads may help things out though.

i was thinking about pre-taping them if i use the HD ball cups, ive also heard of the grease trick. so it is possible to use the SD turnbuckles, and fit them into the HD ball cups? i think im just going to go ahead and try it. thanks for the advice.

agreed. Ream out the hole alittle. I think that some sets came with instructions on doing that with RPM ball ends.

sounds good, should be making a nice big order from losi parts house soon, that place is my favorite.

Why don't you just use the cups that come with the SD turnbuckles? They are very beefy, and a cool grey color. They do have a very tight thread, I just work them in and out a few times before installing them. Seems to be fine after that.

well i like the losi ones, and i have a bunch, but whatever i find best ill use.
