Default Tamiya DB01

Found on another forum:

DB01 [durga] December 1st sale estimate value \ 22,800

They are 2 belt drive Brin new off road chassis which succeed the gene of TRF501X. In order to guarantee high dustproof characteristic and maintainability, drive system guarded with the resin make cover, the chassis unified the front and back bulkhead and decreased part constitution and raised maintenance characteristic. Of course, the suspension arm provided the abundant setting point with the same form as TRF501X, (CVA damper equipment). As for the body the racing like design which makes TRF501X REPRESENT. The motor does not belong.

Yeah it looks manipulated... TA05(?) + TRF-501X + graphics editing (drivetrain cover, color changes)

Here are the real pics( (see attachments):

It is basically a budget version of the 501, using the 501 suspension with a Ta05 style chassis which allows you to use stick packs.

Whilst it would cost a fortune to convert to a full 501x, I can see some advantages in this car, especially if you aren't interested in running saddle-pack cells.
The body looks better to me, plus there's no undertray to wear out, and obviously the drive train is much better protected (though much less accessible).

Yeah tamiya connectors are great! You only have to change them about one every 2 uses because they break and melt! Awesome!
