Tower Hobbies has a listing for the R1 Pro ESC. Specs say no motor limit, but only up to 3S lipo? Will it take 4S for 1/8th use? Will it require 2 fans to keep from thermaling? Delivery date is late Oct., hope they dont pull a AE or Losi and delay it longer. Price is at ~$225. Since Tower is often higher than anyone else, that's good news.

My guess is that the R1 Pro ESC is for 10th scale.

The one that I am waiting for is the "R1 MT" as Tekin's web site says, "Brushless System High-Powered Electric Brushless System for Monster Trucks, 1/8th scale and other "large" scale vehicles."

We might be changing the name, we came up with a few others and landed on Rx8 for now, as you can see in the pics. We made the decals in house for the race and I really like them a lot!

I agree... nobody really cares about the name or logo. Just sell it.

Judging by the young lady holding your vehicle, I'd say you're very lucky.

Thanks Ty. I was worried we'd have another 'push it beyond its limits' ESC like the MM. So, when are you going to send me one?

Don't get too far ahead of yourself, these are still in the first stages of development. We're working like crazy to get all the FX and R1 series out as it is.

Ty and Jim, great to meet you this weekend in Spokane.

Jim drove the truggy in the D, bumped to the C, then bumped to the B. There were about 60 guys in the class.

Jim and I were both in the D main in 1/8th buggy, I think he got 4th, I ended up around 8th.

I'm not sure, but Jim, myself, and one other guy were the only ones nuts enough to be running 4 classes. And Jim handed it to me in the 3 that we were in together.
