Default Horizon discontinuing XX4??

I saw on LPH's site that they took down the XX-4 from kits. I gave them a call and they said it's since they stopped making the kits, they took it down. It's out of stock on Horizon Hobby's site and says can be back ordered. So Horizon really doing it and cutting off their race team?

I really hope that they keep making parts for it.

Well you had to know this day was coming. Lets hope they have a new buggy on the way to replace it and/or the xxx-4. The xxx-4 is good on smooth stuff but its a hand full on a rough track.

yeah, after i realized that it was gone from losi parts house, i checked losi's website last night, and it was still there under their products, as of this morning it no longer shows. i hate horizon hobbies, but i only can hope that a new 4wd will magically appear.

Well I think Horizon is focusing more on RTR kits especially like gas. That is what is making em $$$. So yes parts availibilty will be an issue. That is sad but it is whats going on.

Well, it did say limited release when they brought it back again. Rumors have been around for quite some time about a new losi 4wd in the works. I would only guess the new 4wd being based off the JRXS-R. So far the new sedan has been the best I've owned in 9 yrs of racing them.

It really is sad cause the XX4 is the best car for a rough track. The based the Losi 8 off the old designs of the XX4. I had a XX4 for about 6 months and that was one of the best cars I've driven.

i just called losi to check about part support, the guy said the parts will be continued to be manufactured, and immediately said no to there being a new 4wd in the works. but im just glad they will still be making parts.

The XX4 was one of my all time favorite cars, too. Honestly I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

the new version of the x5 still requires alot of parts from the xx4, but i may just have to do that conversion.

Losi could also do what Associated has done with the B44, copy the aftermarket manufactures making these conversion kits. B44-BJ4WE, XX4-X5.
the only thing I dont like about the X5 is the 4-2 cell configuration.
