i am not real familiar with those, but i use a triton it works well, alot of guys at my track use the Ice.........if you have the coin, the ce gfx with lipo is great.....

If you plan on running Orion lipos just be aware they specifically recommend against the 977. Personally I run both the Ice and the Orion Advanced chargers. Advanced is cheaper and a nice, easy, small charger.
The main difference though is that the Advanced is a bit more cautious. The charge rate starts to lower before the pack gets to 8.4V where the Ice does not decrease until 8.4V exactly which seems to allow the battery to get just a bit over the 8.4 mark during the process. You get the same overall results and charge time - it just seems to treat the pack a bit gentler.

I am using the Checkpoint now. Same "basic" charger as the Ice with alot better features for NiMh batteries and brushed motors.
