I usually run compound when the track is fresh and wet. And run Silvers when it starts drying and Pinks when it's dried and blue grooved.

I'm positive that pink is the softest.

No Pink is the middle (or same properties as Red but with better wear). Red is the softest.

This is right off the losi website...doesn't really say which is softest...I have a set of pink tappers in hand and a set of red tappers in had and the pink feels softer to me.

Compounds

Silver (S);The most common and reliable Team Losi compound works well under varying conditions and is exceptional on blue-groove and soft surfaces.

Red (R); The Team Losi soft compound that picks up where Silver stops, this soft/sticky formula works well on dry, hard, slick surfaces.

Pink (P); The newest Team Losi soft compound that offers traction similar to Red with handling characteristics similar to Silver.

Silver is firm
Red is soft
Pink is... well... just different. On some tracks, pink is the ticket and anything else is way off the pace. Most tracks pink just doesn't work.

personally i think horizon should sell the tire compound formulas to a company that will actually make tires out of it. it's not fun racing on a pink taper track in the winter only to not be able to buy them because they are on back order everywhere.

For dirt:

Red = Soft
Silver = Hard

For CLAY:

Pink

Great point.

I've not tried them yet, but I have read the Panthers are the next best thing after Losi. I emailed Panther asking them how their compounds compare to Losi's and they advised me that:

Medium Soft = Silver

Soft = Red

Clay = Pink
