Default Noob question about battery charger

I have a Duratrax Intellipeak charger It has deans plugs installed. Thats fine for all but one of my batteries. Would it do any damage if I wired in a tamaya plug into the rig? It would be set up like a Y, I know not to plug 2 packs into the y at one time, but would having that extra wire do any harm? I can't picture it doing any harm, but I just wanted to make sure before I ruined a perfectly good peak charger. I plan on just making an adapter but I have to wait on some more deans plugs to show up.

It won't hurt a thing as long as you wire it correctly, which is pretty simple and you only hook one battery up at a time, but if you already have some Deans plugs on the way, you probably ought to just wait unless it will be a while before you get them. The Deans are a far better plug than the Tamiyas anyways. Years ago I had some Tamiya plugs actually melt together because they got so hot due to their inefficiency. This was way back in a Tamiya Falcon with just a regular 6 cell pack and Mabuchi 540. They are very common connectors but horribly innefficient! I had to pry them apart with pliers!
