I agree with what Howart posted early in the thread - Call it Sportsman 4wd and not 19T. And gear it towards club racing, not big events. After last weekend - I know a class like that would be huge for beginers.
My 9 yr old has been to the track with me dozens of times and has tried driving my T4, but, couldnt get around the track without wrecking, even though its pretty much dialed and the throttle end point was way down.
I gave him my BJ4 and he did extremely well with it. He could make the jumps and climb over pipes and for the first time I had to tell him to stop driving before he quit in frustration after 10-15 minutes of run time! A lot of people noticed how easy it was for him to drive, the crazy run time (with the end point down) and how much he enjoyed it.
Tamiya makes a several inexepensive buggies that would be great for such a class. If Associated could find a way to make a sub $200 plastic version of the B44 that could accept stick packs I think every track would have a Sportsman 4wd class.

Kyosho makes a RTR 4wd that accepts stick packs! I think it is around $209?
I agree 4wd are easier to drive.
If you have a beginner though setup the car with a push (less steering) that forces them to slow down in the corners. I have done this for my daughters truck and she does pretty good.
