that is a nice looking truck. I currently run an electic 8ight so I know that it would blow away the current xxxt or t4 platform.

Sorry to use as an example, but you can build 2 1/10th scale 4wd trucks for 1 1/8th scale.

You can drop it even further by just using a Mamba max setup. Can get those for about $180 shipped.

I guess expensive is all relitave to your age, income and previous hobbies. Honestly $579 isnt that bad at all. I have more than that in my Lazer zx-5 and its only a couple of weeks old.

I got a schumacher Menace GTRe, its a 1/8 on-road electric car. I did some checking and it uses the same drivetrain and suspension arms as the off-road truck. Arm wise, its the same width wise as a T4/GT2, as well as wheelbase. the main difference is the C-hubs and rear carriers are more compact and result in a 1/2" difference in width. I believe i could convert it to off-road for less than 100.00 not incuding the body. I plan to build one and see how it holds up to the abuse

Default T44

I would buy a T44 if it waz made!
A rtr T44 for bashing , a FT T44 for the track.
I use my t4 rtr se for bash,
and my FT t4 for the track.
As for price the b4 & t4 are the same price,
so a T44 would only be the same as the B44.
As for too many classes alot of peeps who think that
run 3 classes as it is so no room to talk.
Me I only run 1 class (stock truck) so 4WD MOD TRUCK
would be perfect for my 2nd class!

You know, Tamiya makes a 1/10th 4wd truck kit.

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58161

They were VERY competitive. In fact, my local track brought them back as a Spec class!

I've owned an HPI MT and I liked it, but it had its drawbacks. Im not sold on a truggy class. Honestly I think if there was a demand, just add a Truck body to it and buy a 4wd buggy.

If there was a demand then there would be a truggy, not that crap you're talking about.

Default Too many classes

As an operator of a local club track, www.altoonaraceway.com , I can safely say that outside of the cost of competing in this hobby.... the single biggest threat to club racing is the fact the there are too many vehicle options thus diluting every race day field into races with only 2 or 3 trucks (the thrill of racing is pretty hard to come by when you only see a competitor every half dozen laps)

This threat is followed closely by the growing number of racers who either think they are pros or want to be pros and therefore don't attend too many club races.

Club racing is all about getting together with a group of dudes who you compete against every week with similar equipment and trying to beat them to gain personal satisfaction... not to mention bragging rights for the next 7 days.

Here's to fun racing at your local track!

P.S. 1/10th Scale Racing is A-OK.
