I'm a Losi driver my self but lately with Gil leaving and some of the other problems Losi has been having (in ability to make pink tappers), I'm starting to consider driving another car. I defiantly like the Kyosho!!! Might be my next buggy.

The end?...no, go read on the thread about this. There seems to be some pretty good reasons on why they aren't.

Back in the day the big rivalry was Kyosho / Associated. Funny how history repeats itself.

What did you expect would happen when Losi sold out to Horizon Hobby distributors?
Horizon doesn't care about racing or competition, they only care about making money.

The only Kyosho car that ever won anything at the Worlds was the Ultima and that was 20 years ago.
Kyosho likes to brag about that.... Except it wasn't even an Ultima anymore.
It has a custom made MIP transmission (which turned out to be similar to the one they named the stealth and put on the RC10), a custom made carbon fiber (they called it graphite then) chassis, and custom made suspension arms and shocks.
The only thing stock about it was the body. It was driven by Joel "Magic" Johnson, and that was the only time Kyosho ever won the Worlds with an electric car.
Don't forget that , with the exception of the Burns and the Inferno, Kyosho cars have been second rate for the whole time the company has existed.
The Ultima was never the equal of the RC10, and the Optima was never the equal of the Yokomo YZ10, and anyone who disagrees only needs to look at the history books to see the actual race results.

I had the Ultima and Ultima Pro and Ultima Pro XL, and can easily say they were just as good or better than the RC10's of the time.
Of course now I'm racing an RC10T and building a couple RC10's, so go figure.
Optimas and Lazers were the best out there. Yokomo had Masami.
Now the new Ultima and Lazer are equal to everything else out there.
