Even though I don't race anymore I still find myself reading these threads. They are so entertaining.

What it boils down to is if you have an ill handling car it doesn't matter how good of a driver you are. You will struggle.

Same thing in Europe, trucks seem to be a US thing. Check out the pics on oople.com, no pics of trucks racing anywhere 2wd and 4wd only.

They are more traditional in Europe. I know they race truck in Austria though, so maybe in the future truck could make the breakthrough, EFRA allowing.

Here are the facts...

How well a given racer does is brekn down into the following percentages;

100% driver ability
100% car
100% set up
100% luck

If you don't think this is the case, try winning without any one of the items listed above.

I have been to and heard of races where a National title was lost, even after dominating to that point, because a motor picked up a metal washer that jammed it in the deciding main.

Ever had a receiver go bad during big event, Maifield did.

How about leading a race by lap and having a competitor jump into your lane hit you head on and break an a arm?

I guess that makes the 2nd place driver pretty lucky, since he wins?

Just once, I would like to see the "constantly mentioned on the internet" National title won with a TYCO car!!!

Or better, a "Brick with 4 wheels!"

It ain't gonna happen
LMAO
