Default Team Checkpoint charger!

Hey guys,

Just bought that new checkpoint charger! Pretty sweet! Just getting back into the hobby after a good 6 month break had a 3700 nimh laying around. Decided to charge it up and use the discharge feature also. Never had a charger with a discharger built in, and it says that there is a feature to Dead Short the batterys, but then it says "Dont use unless you are an expert"? So my question is, is it okay to dead short batterys, when i discharge it i can generally get the pack down to 6.5 vlts. however i would like to get a chace to drain the batterys all together? okay any help would be great!

p.s What does the average discharger drain the common 4200/3700 cell to?

No dead short is for NiCD type batteries, newer NiMH batteries like a .9v per cell cutoff when discharging.

you forget to tell him with the Gps even runtime will be last with a dead short, but even if runtime isn't a big deal you never want to dead short alot, i did like my Integy Zero-30 when i had my old GP3300s, but since that i have had a smart tray and ran .2v on GPs, and .9v on Ibs.
