temp gauges

Default temp gauges

Hi everyone, I hav a quick ?. I plan getting a temp gauge down the road but till I do, whats the old school way to check the temp of your motor?

You can either spit, or use a few drops of water and put it down the head. It's called the spit test or water test. Basically it should take a few seconds before it boils off. If it boils off instantaneously, then your too hot. If it takes more than say 5 seconds to boil off you can lean it out a bit.
