Default Help with charger/balancer for lipos?

im a newbee to lipos , im going to buy the battery packs with hyperion plugs so what do i need ? can you tell me how does the hyperion lba10 balancer work/hook up too the durtrax ice charger? and how do i charge the lipos? what wires am i hookin up to charge a lipo pack? list exsacly what i need and how i do it?


im getting the maxamps 7.4v 2s 8000mah packs, run one in my rc10t3, an two of them to make 14.8v in my 8ight T .....

I have the hyperion balancer and use it with the Ice Charger. Read the manual when you get it, all the info is there.

for starters you MUST have a charger that is specific for lipo batteries. most will come with the type of plugs you need since they were built to charge lipo's.

im getting a 2s 8000mah, an a 4s 8000mah lipo, btw im going to thunder power balancer plug, since the 4s im buying from badassrevo comes with it already.. what charger/balncer should i get?

I would say best bet is to contact the people who are selling you the batteries and see what they recommend for a charger and balancer. They should know how to charge there stuff.

For charger I recommend the astroflight 109,Duratrax ice ,or mrc 989.

Are any of you using an Ice with 4S batteries? Does it work well off of a car battery or is somethin else needed for more voltage?
