Looks like I might be part of the fall out MOHR will be receiving from the HTW carpet track closing. Is 2wd buggy the most popular/competitive class?

Are there any buggies worth considering other than the Losi and Assoc. models? I'm used to racing an Xray so price and stocking my own parts isn't a big deal.

If we can get some BL/Lipo action going we'll be good to go!

Welcome to MHOR!!! As far as brushless Lipo...brushless your all good, but lipo will be a struggle.

Buggies...2wd all the way!!! Losi, AE, or check out the Kyosho. See you at MHOR

You guys should be able to get Lipo going just get a ton of guys with you... As for cars it seems you like to be running a different car than others. In that case I would look into the Kyosho RB-5 for sure and its easy to get parts for.

We usually get 15-20 people running on Wednesday nights and most guys, including all the "fast guys", are running Lipo. We've been using Lipo for quite a while and just can't see going back.

It makes running on Wednesday night soooo easy. Most guys run one pack all night and that pack can be charged up any time durring the week before that. A lipo still doesn't quite compare with a fresh pack of good Nimh cells so as long as you make weight there's no advantage.

How do the Kyosho, Losi and Assoc. buggies compare?

Where do you shop for Kyosho parts?

I would think that if you had the lipo charging bags, I wouldn't think it would be a problem. But then again....

As far as i'm conserned, Losi is the only way to go.

Why is the carpet track closing down?

SlamMan.... You can get parts online at A-Main Hobbies or SpeedTech RC at any time there always in stock usually. All three cars are great right out of the box in my opinion and anyone u choose you'll probly like. I used to run the B4 and I loved it for a long time. I just got the RB-5 and its very impressive out of the box. The shocks are the best out of the three mfg's and the plastic and graphite are of the same quality. Lastly with all three cars you'll have plenty of support at MOHR with setup's.
