Default Nitro On and Off Road

Hello.

I am getting into RC cars and the whole hobby part of it.

I am looking into buying a buggy from under $250. Preferably under $200 if possible.
Its both on and off road because I will be driving it on concrete, grass, gravel, ext.
I want to either buy within my price range or upgrade it to where it goes 70mph+ and is equal all around.

I understand maintaining one is a little tough, but I have time to do that and stuff.

Can I get some links or tips?

Thanks

$200 and over 70mph? $200 won't get you a nitro motor or a BL system.

I forgot to mention. I want to spend under $200 on just the car itself.

And you said I couldn't get a nitro motor for $200?

I'll throw around $300 in for upgrades and other stuff.

Thanks

Could I get some links to...

A nice stock buggy.
And

A new pipe+ header

a bigger and better air filter.

A carb restrictor

Nos. Lol

A super charger.

And brakes. Lol.

They do?

Is it default stuff, or is it reliable and good?

Got a link?

Thanks

Would a buggy be my best bet?

Or maybe an on road car.

But I will be driving it on gravel...

Can buggies go just as fast, if not faster then on road ones?

I would also like the buggy to go on road as well.

So I will be switching tires.

you can go on or off road with a buggy, but a buggy was designed for off road, so by changing the tires to on road style tires its doesnt mean that the buggy will handle well, because the suspension was build for off road....

I would try and identify the reasons why you want it to go 70+ mph. Have you seen a vehicle going 50 mph? Seriously, you will be suprised how fast these things go and a 70mph requirement eventually may really not be what you need in the long run.

Assuming you are wanting nitro, I would look at what you can get for parts locally and look into those buggies.

You can get RTR 1/8 scale buggies pretty cheap nowadays. CEN Matrix RTR is pretty nice for the money, and includes an FM radio and high torque servos.

I think the Hot bodies buggy or truggy is on sale at ultimatehobbies too for a cheap price.

I'm guessing you're looking at 1/8 scale products. So in essence, you want a fully setup car for under $500USD? that's going to be tough...if you're looking at ready to run stuff, it could be done regarding certain brands...but if you want to build a kit from the ground up (which is best to do in my opinion, since you learn how the car works and how to fix it if something breaks with just a few simple steps), forget about it.
