First, try another motor that you know performs correctly...

If the new motor run`s , its your old motor that is bad ...
If the new motor don`t run , its your ESC that is bad......

you could do as cherry suggested. also the servo will work since it is not run through your esc in any way just battery power goes from it the the reciever so then your servo will work. another fix for your lrp is to buy a novak and never worry about it.

Same thing happened to mine...and lots of others (stopped after 8months to a year). I just got them fixed for like $30 or so at A/E.

I would rather do that than have all the clutter of the Novak. My Comp is working great again and I like the way it works WAY better than the GTB I used while the LRP was away. The new 2007 Comps have solved any problems and are champ!

well just checked, and its the ESC. so i guess i will send it in to AE. will they fix it or send me a new one? i would rather have the 07 version than the older version, but dont want to buy one, and if im going to end up with having to buy a new system, im going to get a faster one. i dont like novak. ive had nothing but bad luck with them and dont plan on taking a chance of loosing $250 on a system that will fry

Street racer ,

Lrp shipments only come in every couple months ...
That means you may have a small wait , but they most likely will return to you a new ESC...

Send it in a soon as you can....

The Lrp is very popular and in high demand....

So don`t delay.....

I had one that when you pulled the trigger the motor looked like it was bound up... it would try to spin, then try to spin backward, but moved less than 1/4 inch.

Turned out it was the sensor wires where they plug into the ESC, the plug had come slightly loose.

be ready to wait a while if you send it in for service..
if you're really lucky...3 weeks...
if you're not ....3 months...or longer.

Did you say 8 months? That's exactly when mine started playing up.

Mine started thermalling, but wasn't hot. It was like 2 laps into it then would stop. Leave for a minute then it was ok again. I tried replacing the sensor wire, no help.

Sent it in (thanks lifetime warranty) and STILL WAITING 5 weeks later. It's a joke. I'm apparently getting a new replacement, but I've now missed 2 meetings and valuable points, so not happy.

I agree with the size thing though, but will probably go a different brand next time as this has left a sour taste.
