motor ?
how do you adjust the timing and true the comm? and if it has three areas where the wire is does that mean its triple (I ask that because I ordered a double and thats what they gave me)

to adjust timing unscrew the 2 screws on the endbell and turn the endbell. most motors have timing marks on them so you can see how much timing youv got. you can only adjust timing on mod motors. and to true the com youv got to take the whole motor appart. now you can do this with any rebuildable motor out there mod or stock. you also need a motor lathe, a small 3 or 4 cell battery pack to power the lathe and a motor for the lathe. you place the motor arm on the motor lathe connect it to the slave motor with a o-ring and turn on the power, the arm spins and you use the bit on the lathe to "skim" the com. as far as the 3 parts on your motor if thats the com i think all motors have 3 parts, the diffrents of the doubles or triples is how many wires are wraped around the arm.

If you want to get a comm cutter, Hudy make one of the best ones out there. Cobra are also ok and maybe a little cheaper than the hudy.... The main thing you MUST do if you get a comm cutter is to get the Diamond cutting tip to go with it............

my comm is all black but it doesn't seem to bounce and I havn't seen the performance drop at all, do I have to true it or should I just put some alchohole on it?

you want your com to be a shiny "copper" color if its black then its time to true or "cut" your com. also look at your wires are they still shiny or are they dark. also just use motor spray on your motor. spray it till the spray runs off the com clear.

You hould normally cut the comm every 5 times you use it.
