Default Futaba 2PL radio & servo - any good?

I have GT2 RTR truck for over 1 week now. I am looking to get Futaba 2PL FM as I might race sometimes soon.

I find the RTR servos a bit lacking in power and speed...especially the throttle/brake servo taking too long for it to stop! I don't think that moving brake linkage to a different setpoint will help.

I am using 4.8v receiver box with 2700mAh NiMh AA batteries.

Is there any Futaba servos you can recommend for throttle/brake?
