i was just going there a few minutes ago, and noticed thier newest vehicle! i cant believe traxxas made thier own brushless motor, and put it in the Rustler, Bandit, and Stampede!!!

the speed control and connectors look original, i DONT think novak made it for traxxas.

These motors arent just for the rustler, but for the stampede and bandit too! they've made 3 ballistic models!

the Esc has a low voltage cuttof for up to 3 lipo cells. i think traxxas has topped off novak in this area...

RIP Nitro.

Now the speed freaks out there will be hunting down the electric Traxxas cars. This is a good thing! No more starting hassles, no more stink, plenty of insane, unusable power.

Brushless and LiPo are now officially the future of mass-market high-speed RC!

PS I suspect Novak have helped with this, the motor looks ROAR spec, and they helped with the E-Maxx's uprated ESC too.

Thumbs up

Looks like a sensorless brushless system that will be good for bashing!

Holy smokes, they claim 70+ mph... in a rear wheel drive 10th scale vehicle? Sounds like a really big, brushless Mini T...

Agreed, they should be updating the Emaxx to brushless, or doing the ERevo, as that is just so much more interesting. Enough people have had success with home brows with these, that there should be a stock versions.

Anyone want to put bets on how long for "VXL Monster E-Maxx" or "VXL E-Revo"?

Arrow holy $/-/1T!

holy moly, i'll give you one guess what body im buyin next for my rusty! ill paint it but dang! 70mph?! wow guarentee they changed the gearing from 12/84 to something wild!

i have a mamba max in mine, hjavent changed dearing and go 40, with a really nice servo it is nice, but with a traxxas servo(no offense) that would be hard to control!

Talking esc

yeah that esc looks too wild for novak to have climbed in, but hey, they couldve teamed up with some little company and made it.

Post bushings?

does it have a bushing or bearings in the front? i can't tell...

if you want to upgrade a rusty stampede or bandit, upgrade to bearings... GREAT

Its good to see they've made it adaptable to all brushless motors with the sensor port on the front. Wish more manufacturers would do this.

Anyone know what it will cost for just the BL system?

BL system MSRP is $300.

Looks like a nice ESC. The motor is very lacking though.

Btw I got your traxxas connectors right here. Get them while they're hot!

This is awesome! I've done some good bashing with my mamba max pede, but to come out with an upgraded pede with the brushless is pretty sweet! Definatley will be a huge seller!

If it's $300... couldn't you just get a regular Stampede for $150 or so and stuff a Mamba Max system in there for another $150 and have a spare motor and ESC?

Hmmm... is that suggested retail, or an actual store price? If it's around $250 it could be worth it for sure if the BL system does not stink.
