Not to mention with lipo you dont need a expensive charger, any lipo charger capable of up to 4amps should be fine.
Just looking at the motor pics, looks more and more like a Mamba...the whole screws in the sides of the motor, and shaft end looks like one. If the plastc end were off to see where the wires exit may confirm CC. But I guess time will tell.
Losi now Traxxas, I'd bet good money that Associated with LRP wont be far behind. This will probably be the death nail for brushed motors....I'll be glad to drive that nail it!

Losi already has a Brushless RTR.

This will help the market in the LiPo and Brushless area's, and electric cars / trucks in general.

WTG Traxxas.

I highly doubt Caste Creations designed the BL system in the trucks, it doesn't look anything like theirs really, plus it would probably have said in the press materials that it was developed in conjunction with CC to increase its credibility, but it didn't. Just because the motor has screws on the side doesn't mean its a CC, lots of sensorless BL motors have scres in the sides on the cans. Anyway this is a huge, HUGE step for electric RC, now all we need is for a company with good distribution in place to come out with high capacity lipo packs! I think Orion needs to introduce a 6000-8000mah pack in the near future.

Traxxas without a doubt has the best marketed RTR cars out there, I think that these will mabye be able to start to sway people away from nitro. And you know that Traxxas is working a BL Revo right now, I'm sure the technology in that machine is undergoing rigorous testing right now though, and its probably a hard thing to do, balancing power cost and reliability.

Oh btw of course you could just buy the brushed stampede and slap a CC motor/ESC in it, but what newbie to the hobby wants to screw around with that? They want to take the truck out of the box, charge the battery and hit ridiculous speeds as soon as possible!

going faster = breaking more parts

selling more parts = more money... its indeed perfect lol.

Speed is their #1 marketing concern.

Talking breakages haha

with the larger bearings and hubs and beefy turnbuckles and rod ends and all metal tranny,i dont think you will be needing many parts for the bandit, rustler or stampede.they were already arguably the toughest cars out there.

being able to buy a brushless stampede from the factory is just awesome.

Wonder if they will bring it out in the bandit? Don't think there has been a rtr brushless buggy out yet.

Cheers

Arrow HINT*

notice they say 70+. but it takes a - to make a +. and they are traxxas, make huge gears, and rip it up, they probbably had it sitting in thier truck going down the interstate, it wont go 70 pulling it out of the box, all i'm saying!

HPI makes a better vehicle. Tons stronger than any fragile traxxas vehicle. Traxxas's suspension arms, shock towers, and drive shafts are common for snapping, twisting and breaking like twigs.
