Default Mamba ESC Throttle delay?

I've setup the ESC fine, however the response before the motor starts turning and the throttle finger is quite high, I've never seen an ESC with such a delay before the throttle starts to move. It's as if it's offset.

I have to move the throttle a good 4-5 mm before it starts moving. After that it's fine. I can correct this by trims and subtrim however I am just curious if others noticed this too?

I've tried 2 radios and I've tried brushed/brushless mode. Can anyone tell me how their mamba works and if they also have some throttle offset before it kicks in. Thanks.

You need to reset your esc to your radio.

I had this issue as well with my DX2. I reset the radio, and also up-d the timing or punch control on the speedo as well. instant takeoffs now.

really powerful unit.

Hi thanks, I have reset the mamba numerous times, on both radios..

When you pull the throttle do you immediately hear the frequency of the mamba kicking in or do you have to move it 4 mm before you hear the sound and then the motor starts turning?

My concern is with the distance the trigger sends a signal and the esc starts moving. I've never had an ESC with such a far distant response. I have a 3PK which I use on multiple cars fine. I've reset the model and everything yet this mamba is still 4 mm before it starts moving

I noticed this too when I used the mamba max systems. I let other people drive my buggy, and each and every one of them thought the throttle felt 'laggy'. I didn't notice this in brushed mode, only brushless mode. I would hear a bit of a squealing and then all of the sudden, the thing would take off. I hated this about the mamba actually, it just felt very inconsistent because of this lag, and then the sudden power. It would make the buggy spin out. This lag is also noticeable coming out of turns.

Not having this issue anymore. You need to up the power ranges.

Like Cain mentioned, if your radio has "punch", use it. I use it on everything.
