Default Mamba 5700 setup in MF2

To those who run the Mamba Max 5700 in the MF1 or MF2.

Do u think you could tell me the way u have your mamba programed, or send me the file? William(at)rcbros.com

I played with it this past race and it never seemed right, cogged at the beginning or was just to slow. I mean real slow. I copied a guys with a T4 but I don't think it was right.

Want to try another setup that is used in the same truck to see if its my brushless system or just the way I have it programmed.

Thanks!

I was using it in an MF2 with the default settings and it was too fast to keep on the track. I had to turn my endpoint down to 80% just to make it drivable. They should include a few bottles of tire glue with the system because you will be blowing tires off the rims.

You might have a problem with the system. Castle has excellent tech support. If you call them they can probably help fix the problem or send you another system.

I'm using the castle software to program it.

I don't have time to send it back as i have a race in spokane this weekened. I have 2 systems though. just would like someones setup.

If you have the castle program you can save the file and e-mail it to me [email protected]

that would be an extreme help!

I have heard that if you remove the plugs and direct sauder the wires togather it will get rid of a lot of the cogging.

I would check the solder joints... or redo them if you have any doubts about your soldering ability/experience.

The first thing that comes to mind for software is the LVC setting... set it to 0 for nickel packs.

And the initial programming to your radio.... try restting that to make sure the esc is seeing full throttle from the radio. Obvioulsy the radio EPA needs to be turned up too.... for the same reason.

Other than that... there isn't much you can do with the software to slow it down. The punch control only limits the accleration from a stop.... does nothing for top end.

Basic settings... assuming you are using 6 cell nimh packs.... brake around 50% or less... drag brake about 20% give or take.

I have run the 5700 in my T4 and it's wicked on the track. Other than the LVC... it's likely a radio setting or wiring problem. (or a bad esc/motor))

From the sounds of things the wires realy aren't a thick enough gauge for these aplications. Perhaps they should be replaced with some 12 gauge wire. The only hard part is that soldering on that esc would not be an easy task. If solder were to run the wrong way you would be in a world of a mess trying to figure out how to remove the short that the solder created. I wish the esc had poles like most regular escs have.

I just redid the joints to make sure that wasn't the problem. I think my radio may have been the corporate now that I think about it

I'll see what happens when the weather dries. Thank u
