i direct-soldered my motor-ESC connection.
and i have no cogging
the settings are stock
so idono.but i do run lipos,3200 orions
i was told that lower end batts may coz cogging

thanks, have one more question. For the gearing, if I run 12/90 will it run cooler than the gear 15/90? I saw a lot of online videos with mm 7700 and most run 15/90. If 12/90 indeed run cooler then I won't need to change any further.

it depends on the size track/area you are running on. a 12/90 will top out quicker, and the motor will be running @ WOT longer, which can overheat the motor. overgearing and undergearing can both overheat the motor, I work up/down on pinions to find a "sweet spot", where the motor is plenty punchy, plenty fast, and doesnt have an overheating problem.

Your gearing also depends on what car you have it in....

well I'm happy with 15/90 and a fan sitting on top of the esc, let me run 1 whole battery about 10-15 mins without getting extremely hot to touch. Here's a few pics of it.
