I am probably wrong but I think it may have to do with some rule limitations on how the motor could be shaped and maybe the performance is not there with there brush configuration, sort of like how orion didn't make a stocker out of the V2 setup, though you could always buy the endbells for outlaw stock.

I would be curious about this too, as pretty much stock is run around here in the winter, and its nice not to have to work on comm cutting all the time which is an advantage of the checkpoint motors.

they could make a similar setup with regular "square" brushes, i think the oval brushes just don't work well in stock.

Ultimately to me I would want the benefits of the brush setup that the current checkpoint motors get. Could be possible, just don't know.

once again, agreed, i would love to see a checkpoint 27t stocker, and hopefully it would have performance close to if not better then the co27

the big thing about stock is the price of the motor. Doesn't ROAR limit the price to $36 bucks or something?

How much does the checkpoint 19t cost? Adding a 27t armature isn't going to make the price drop $20 dollars.

yeah it wouldn't be too hard to cut $10 (money is 49 on tower) off cost, heck even stock brushes always seem to be cheaper then mod brushes....

with just the thought of checkpoint working on a stocker, i don't want to buy anymore then the two co27s i have right now lol

I saw a few people from team Checkpoint running proto stock motors about a year ago. They have prolbems with some of the rules. Brushes, Cost and actually the endbell. Some say that the Money motor is not legal. They were super fast and they were getting about 15 runs before any work needed to be done. I'm preaty sure that it on the back burner for a little while. Some big things to come.

What are we going to do when waiting in a big race. Having a freshly cut motor with new brushes will win the main. We don't mind the extra work, time flys by faster. I guess checkpoint can have it made in Asia cheap.
