Hey I'm new to everything in this hobby and I barely know anything, but I'll work on that
So anyway can anyone recommend a good beginner off-roader? I'm thinking a Rustler or something, help is appreciated!

Are you anywhere near a race track? If so, go there and see what guys are running. Bashing gets pretty boring after awhile IMO. Go out and race!

PS, every hear of a great band from Turkey called Pentagram (in the US Mekarkabul)?

I take it your looking for a truck. Are you going to bash or race?
If you want to race I recommend either a Losi XXX-T or the Associated T4 truck. Good luck and practice practice and practice.

um whats bashing?
i dont think i want to race yet, i just want somethin to practice with and have fun with now. i want electric 2 because i dont really know how all the nitro stuff works (which btw how do you make nitro? is that the only way to get it by making it?). losis seem cool but i reallllly like the rustlers from what ive seen. so is it a good starter car? qdv says so but id like more opinions!
and ive never heard of pentagram, lol
thanks everyone!

Goto your nearest hobbystore and see what they have to offer and do make sure they have parts for it should you break anything and need a particular item (wishbones etc) for you to get back into having fun with your chosen car.

Bashing is just that, you take your car to your backyard or big open field and play and bash it about, in other words "Having fun with".

Racing is another matter, and should you wish to take the fun factor to another level, the best thing to do is goto your nearest track and see what goes there, and then you can determine whether it could appeal to you or not. Best thing to do is taking things step at a time dont get too carried away with the excitement should you want to take it up, i guess what im trying to say is by keeping it in perspective it should save time and money if later you decide racing may not be for you. It can get a little hectic sometimes .. But anyways the important thing is to have fun GL

I would get the Associated T-4 RTR or the Losi XXXT RTR

Both are excellent trucks and can be upgraded to full blown racers with optional parts.

Bashing is basically just running around the yard or parking lot etc....not on a track
I think one thing you should ask ...is availability of parts..specially if you are in Turkey.Find out if their are any hobby shops around and see what they carry and keep in stock for parts.Another thing to consider is what you are going to do with it.Are you going to drive around a parking lot or some deep rutted terrain? If you plan to keep to the streets so to speak then maybe a onroad car might suit your better or if you plan on driving thru ruts the size of a Vw you might want to consider going with a Monster truck like the E-Savage

It depends if you are going to race or just have fun in your yard...if you want to race i would have to go with a team associated t4.
