yes, but i think some people have found that it's not torquey enough for off-road.

I like the monster for my TC but not at all in my buggy or truck. Others like them in both.

yah but my friend had one in his xxxt but i guess he overgeared it and that explained why it was so fast. so i say keep it in tc and for offroad buy an mvp or p2k2. my 2 cents

The Monster is fast in off road,If it's fast in a 4wd touring car why would it not be fast in an off road car or truck?If you think about it a touring car has a lot of traction plus 4wd that puts a huge load on the motor and most on road tracks are very tight with alot of corners,In fact the place where I race at the off road track has longer straights on it than the on road track does. You have to gear the motor down and use red trinity springs on the motor that will help on the torque issue.As with any stock motor you have to find the "right" gearing for what you are using it for.

Itt's not as fast off-road because of all of the jumps bumps and scaling of the track. I tried a pulse r 9t off-road because it worked good on-road bu was extremely slow off-road.

It's still a gearing issue and timing on a mod motor.You still have to find the "right" gearing for your motor to get it into the right RPM range for what you are using it for.I have been racing RC cars for over 17 years and have yet to find an on road or off road only mod motor,it's all in the timing and gearing,you can make almost any motor work,trust me they dont know the difference.You can change how your motor responds by changing brushes,springs,timing.
