Default MBX5-R rear end loose, any good setups out there?

Having trouble getting my rear end to hook up at the track. Made a few changes and they have helped, but I'm still fighting the car on turns and straights. Anyone have a good setup for a Mugen MBX5-R?

Thanks.

Make sure your rear droop is about 30mm greater than your front...also, raise the rear ride height to bones level or slightly above level and set your front ride height to bones lust below level.

rear hubs all the way back (all spacers in FRONT of hub)

2.5 rear toe

rear camber link parallel to lower arm

middle hole in rear anti-squat plate.

I think you mean 3mm? 30mm is almost half the total travel of the suspension. Also, use the 3*rear block instead of the 2.5. It will give better control on power.

Check your anti-squat! Give us your setup also. I'm shooting in the dark until I see that. By the way my car is dialed!! Love this car!!!

This will make the car rotate more. Hubs foward give more foward traction. I had similar probs and limiting rear droop plus laying the shocks one down from center also helped. Also go to the softer blue springs in the rear...
5-7-2 diffs as well. That should help alot.....

Smile My mugen setup

The buggy handles the bumps pretty good, but the rear end loves to kick out while accelerating out of turns and in straights. If the track dries up a bit then forget about it, the buggy is very sensitive. There are a few people using crimefighters at my local track with good results, but Panther Kamodo Dragons seem to be the majority so I may give 'em a try.

Let me know what you guys think. Any input would be helpful.

Thanks

Shorten the rear upper camber links and run the upper inside hole on the alum rear hub.

Note: The upper inside hole on the aluminum rear uprights is the same hole as the upper outside hole on the plastic upright.

If you raced at RCE this past Sunday, the track was really bumpy which may explain the loose rear end. What tires are you running? Crimefighters and Cubics might be a good choice.

Did you happen to catch the Buggy A-Mud race last Sunday. I haven't seen one of those in a while.

Try taking out some anti-squat. Seems like a lot to me, but I haven't driven the new R, had a MBX5 for four years before that. Never ran that much anti-squat.
